Led by Elders and Knowledge Keepers, these circles honor the power of storytelling, community support, and spiritual guidance as essential tools for personal and collective healing. Participants strengthen their cultural identity, find emotional and spiritual renewal, and learn traditional ways of healing trauma.

Mino-Ayawin Traditional Medicine & Healing

Mino-Ayawin Traditional Medicine & Healing reconnects individuals with ancestral knowledge and natural healing practices, including the use of plant medicines, smudging, cedar baths, and traditional energy work. Teachings focus on how to incorporate traditional medicine into physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being while ensuring cultural protocols and ethical harvesting methods are respected.

Sweat Lodge Healing Ceremonies

Sweat Lodge Healing Ceremonies provide a deeply spiritual and physical purification process that has been practiced for generations. Under the guidance of trained lodge keepers, participants take part in ceremonial prayer, drumming, singing, and self-reflection while inside the lodge, allowing the heat and steam to cleanse the body, mind, and spirit. This ceremony strengthens one’s connection to ancestors, self-awareness, and emotional balance.

Miskwi Miikana (Red Road) Trauma-Informed Counselling

Miskwi Miikana Trauma-Informed Counselling provides one-on-one and group therapy rooted in Indigenous cultural teachings and Western therapeutic approaches. This program supports individuals dealing with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions, offering a holistic healing process that considers mind, body, and spirit. Therapy may include land-based healing, art therapy, talking circles, and ceremony-based approaches guided by Indigenous counsellors.

Giizisok Healing Circles (Grief & Loss Support)

Giizisok Healing Circles offer a space for individuals and families to process grief and loss while being supported by community members, Elders, and cultural teachers. The program provides talking circles, ceremonies, and spiritual guidance to help participants honor their loved ones, strengthen their coping skills, and rebuild connections with their spiritual, cultural, and emotional well-being.

Hope & Strength Suicide Prevention & Crisis Intervention

Hope & Strength Suicide Prevention & Crisis Intervention is a culturally based crisis response program for individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and emotional distress. The program offers 24/7 crisis support, peer mentorship, and immediate intervention services. Healing circles, traditional teachings, and mental health supports are integrated to provide long-term emotional wellness strategies.

Generations Healing Program (Residential School & Intergenerational Trauma Support)

Generations Healing Program offers counselling and healing circles for survivors of residential schools and their families. Through cultural reconnection, storytelling, and trauma-informed care, participants receive mental health support, advocacy, and access to traditional healing methods to work through the ongoing effects of intergenerational trauma.

Strong Roots Substance Use & Harm Reduction Program

Strong Roots Substance Use & Harm Reduction Program provides culturally safe substance use treatment and prevention strategies. This program offers one-on-one counselling, harm reduction strategies, peer support groups, and referrals to detox and treatment programs. Traditional healing practices, including sweat lodges, cedar baths, and smudging ceremonies, are used alongside modern harm reduction approaches to support individuals in their recovery journey.

Strong Spirits Chronic Disease Management

Strong Spirits provides support for individuals managing chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Services include nutrition planning, fitness coaching, stress management, and culturally appropriate healthcare education. This program also incorporates traditional medicine and healing approaches to help individuals manage their conditions in a holistic, community-supported way. Participants will learn about traditional Indigenous foods, healthy eating practices, and alternative medicine approaches for disease prevention.

Reproductive Health & Wellness

Reproductive Health & Wellness provides culturally safe sexual and reproductive health services, including STI testing, pregnancy care, birth control access, and teachings on body wellness and healthy relationships. This program offers education on menstrual health, family planning, and traditional teachings on reproductive wellness. Indigenous health workers provide confidential services in a respectful and non-judgmental way.

Land-Based Healing & Wellness

Medicine Walks & Traditional Teachings

Medicine Walks & Traditional Teachings reconnect participants to the land, traditional knowledge, and healing practices. Participants will learn plant identification, ethical harvesting, and how to prepare traditional medicines. This program also teaches the spiritual and cultural significance of land-based healing practices, incorporating traditional food gathering and environmental stewardship.

Seasonal Healing Camps

Seasonal Healing Camps bring individuals, families, and youth together for multi-day land-based healing experiences. Participants engage in traditional ceremonies, storytelling, and hands-on cultural activities, such as hunting, fishing, and traditional cooking. The goal of this program is to reconnect individuals with their cultural identity, promote mental and spiritual wellness, and foster community healing. Camps may focus on specific themes, such as rites of passage, women’s healing, or youth empowerment.

Youth & Family Programs

Wahkohtowin Youth Leadership & Empowerment

Wahkohtowin Youth Leadership & Empowerment develops leadership skills, cultural pride, and self-confidence in Indigenous youth. This program includes mentorship with Elders and community leaders, workshops on self-empowerment and career planning, and hands-on cultural learning experiences. Participants will gain skills in public speaking, teamwork, community engagement, and traditional knowledge sharing. The program also offers opportunities for youth to take part in land-based leadership training, youth councils, and advocacy initiatives.

Family Wellness & Parenting Support offers culturally based parenting education and family strengthening services. This program includes Elder-guided teachings, parenting workshops, and traditional knowledge sharing to support positive parenting, child development, and family healing. The program also helps families facing challenges such as intergenerational trauma, addiction, and child welfare involvement, ensuring they have access to culturally safe support systems.

Housing & Social Support Navigation

Housing & Social Support Navigation helps Indigenous individuals and families secure housing, access financial aid, and navigate social services. The program provides housing assistance, financial planning support, and legal advocacy for those facing housing instability.

Food Security & Nutrition Programs

Food Security & Nutrition Programs provide access to fresh, traditional foods and culturally relevant nutrition education. Services include community meal programs, cooking workshops, traditional food preparation training, and emergency food assistance. The program also supports community gardens and traditional food sovereignty initiatives.
